LIBRARY TRAINING AND INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICESThe Reference Librarians at the Rudolph Matas Library are focused on making the Tulane University Health Sciences Community proficient in library research. It is our goal to develop a community that recognizes when there is a need for information, what types of information are needed, how to locate proper resources and utilize them in the most efficient and effective manner. Throughout the academic year, we are available to offer library classes to achieve this goal. Types of Classes: Individual or Group - We can help you navigate the library's web page and resources or focus on one particular resource that is pertinent to your assignment or specialty. Course-Specific - Faculty can arrange for a Reference Librarian to come to their class and we'll tailor our instruction to the focus and goals of the class. Please provide us with a syllabus. Open Workshops - Throughout each semester, the Reference Librarians will conduct classes throughout the Health Sciences Center. The topics can range from how to use the resources or certain topics that, we feel, could benefit the TUHSC community. There is no registration required. Examples:
To schedule a class, contact the Reference Department at medref@tulane.edu or (504) 988-5155.
